ABOUT THE JOB

The Construction Scheduler is responsible for supporting the Project team in scheduling, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on projects. This person will lead the forecasting and updating of schedule activities for the assigned project by collaborating with the Project Team. 

Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Project Manager in coordinating the overall planning and scheduling activities on projects
• Designing and implementing schedules and summary reports for assigned projects to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget
• Tracking, analyzing, and reporting information in a timely manner to allow the Project teams the ability to manage their projects and monitor progress
• Ensuring that all project schedules are accurate and updated as needed
• Ensuring that all work assignments are performed in accordance with Project objectives
• Coordinating project schedules, project tasks, update meetings, and distribution of progress reports
• Preparing and implementing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
• Collaborating with the Project Manager and Superintendent on schedules to ensure expectations and accountabilities are clearly defined
• Acting as a liaison between Project Management and clients in all aspects of the project planning and scheduling
• Maintaining the project risk register to ensure that risks are effectively managed to minimize their impact on the schedule, scope and budget of the project

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEGDE REQUIRED:

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction scheduling
• Ability to develop logical sequences of work, contract durations and phasing
• Experience with Project Scheduling software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel
• Motivated, independent, and self-sufficient when tasked with a project
• Must be well organized, a good communicator and able to effectively prioritize tasks
• Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to travel to worksites and perform necessary manual tasks as required
• Authorized to work in the US
