VP, Project Executive – Design Build

PJS Group is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a VP, Project Executive to oversee our Design Build initiatives.  PJS Group is an experienced civil engineering and electrical contractor in the tristate area currently realizing continued growth and success. PJS Group has built a solid reputation based on knowledge, experience, reliability and general excellence.  The position will be based in our state of the art New Rochelle office.

The VP, Project Executive – Design Build establishes and maintains relationships with design partners, supports project pursuits and provides offsite management assistance with design build project delivery.  In addition, this role will work with their team to provide the knowledge, skills and experience required to make sure multiple deadlines are met.

Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising a team of individuals including project managers, superintendents and various other construction management support staff
• Overseeing the full life cycle of a project and manages the design development, serving as an interface between design and construction
• Providing direction and making timely, effective decisions to deliver design build projects successfully
• Managing the budget, schedule and compliance responsibilities for the design project
• Applying policies and standards to design build projects
• Fostering safe working environments by ensuring employees are trained, use proper PPE and follow safety protocols
• Assisting with developing new business opportunities through exceptional project execution
• Promoting and maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to get along with members, co-workers, management and vendors
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
• Performing additional duties as required

Required Experience and Knowledge:• B.S. in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in management of construction projects
• Knowledge of design build practices and procedures
• Experience dealing with budgets, procurement, and working in other corporate systems that aid in managing and building projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite as well as Project Management systems
• Must be motivated and self-sufficient
• Must be well organized with a strong attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Must be authorized to work in the US
